Finch and his "Orcer" (he's got that Aussie tendency to put an "er" on words that should in "a")
The kids are swimming pretty much all day, every day, pausing for meals only. Never before has there been so much swimming!
Small Sun is really enjoying catching crabs at the beach, and all of the kid's activities. Soccer and rugby on the beach with the resort staff has to be his favorite. And, in typical Small Sun style, he knows half the staff and most of the kids here, and they know him.
Yesterday we went to South Sea Island which was everything you think of when you hear the words "tropical island". It was tiny, surrounded by a reef, and our time there included entertainment by Fijian singers and dancers.
The water around the island was clear and from the reefview submarine we saw bright fish, blue starfish, all sorts of coral, and even a reef shark!
One more full day tomorrow before we fly out Thursday night. Today was a bit bumpy with Small Sun ending up in the local clinic with what looked like appendicitis, but ended up being something much less serious. Still a bit of a bummer, but thankfully nothing scary.
Lots of emotions all around, with sporadic tears and lots of hugs. We're missing our Australian friends, and Sprout asked "are we homeless? will we have to live on the street?". Technically, we are currently without a home, but we'll sort that out soon enough, I hope.
But that can wait. Right now we're in Fiji, with palm trees, and ice cream eating contests.
