One thing that our life in Sydney really lacks is connection to other adoptive families. We know NONE. Not. a. single. one.
Yesterday we were having a play-date at a local kid's playgym. As the morning progressed I noticed several caucasian parents with brown-skinned children of various ethnic backgrounds. That's not unusual, but so many in one place? Then I noticed all of those parents were sitting together when they weren't chasing their children around.
I finally got up the courage to go ask if they were an organized group and found out that they are the playgroup for adoptive families in New South Wales! Woot! I got the details and hope to try to make it to the next meeting. I didn't even know there was a playgroup!
How excited am I? Very.
Awesome!

How exciting! I don't know what I would do without my adoptive mom's group. So nice to have people who understand, and have different experiences to share. I am so happy for you!
